25 Mile BBQ

At Wilson’s Farm and Kitchen, if there’s one thing we take more seriously than producing the best quality beef and finding other fantastic local ingredients, it’s barbequing! Farmer Robert has even created his own completely unique one-of-a-kind barbeque known as ‘The Beast’. As the name suggests, the 25 Mile Barbeque event uses meat and seafood sourced from within a 25 Mile radius of the Farm (if not from it), cooked on our BBQ or smoker and served with interesting fresh salads and locally made bread and followed by a delicious pudding. The event starts with an optional tour of the farmyard with Farmer Robert and a visit to the garden to see where many of the ingredients from your meal are grown.

These events run from May until the end of September and seating for this event is ideally outside on the grass beneath the willows so bring a jumper or coat. In the event that the weather is not good, we have indoor seating available in either The Stables or The Hay Shed which are still very atmospheric and great fun. This is a relaxed, sociable event and seating is often at communal tables so bring your best chat and a big appetite for this generous feast!

These events are held on specific dates and are BYOB with glassware and tap water supplied.

‘Everyone is welcome at Wilson’s Farm & Kitchen however because of our team size and set menu dining style, we would respectfully point out that this is an event for adventurous diners and not suitable for people with very restricted diets or very limited tastes. Also please be aware that we operate a small kitchen with a small team and whilst every effort is made to prevent cross contamination, we are not a suitable venue for those with very serious allergies or very specific dietary needs.
