Information for an Enjoyable Visit
HELP US MAKE YOUR EXPERIENCE A GOOD ONE
Thank you for booking one of our Farm Tours & Experiences, please read the information below before your visit.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for booking with us. We want you to enjoy your visit and be safe, as this is a working farm we’d appreciate being aware of the following...
GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ALL VISITS
HOW TO FIND US
Cowbog Farm’s postcode is TD5 8EH. The car park is at the end of the driveway on your left, before entering the farmyard.
The Stables is next to the car park.
For your own safety, please do not wander into our farmyard unaccompanied. We will be very happy to introduce you to our animals, or let you see machinery when we are with you! Please keep children under close supervision.
WHAT TO WEAR
Please wear footwear that is suitable for walking on all terrains. We will be in Scottish fields so you will not be surprised to hear that sometimes it can be muddy and wet - come dressed for the Scottish weather!
ALCOHOL
At present the farm is not a licensed premises.
With regards our 25 Mile Borders Feast and 25 Mile Roast Lunch Experiences in the Stables we can supply ice buckets, glassware and tap water and you are most welcome to Bring Your Own alcohol of choice.
DOGS
We regret that dogs (with the exception of Official Assistance Dogs) are not able to take part in any of our tours or food experiences. Even our docile cattle can get upset by unknown dogs, so this is for your own safety and that of our animals.
ARRIVAL TIMES
Farm to Fork Tour, Tractor & Trailer Tour and Breakfast Safari
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your tour begins, we would be very grateful if you could please be on time. We will meet you in our car park and direct you to the loos should you need to use them before the tour begins. If you are unavoidably delayed, please call Lucy on 07973 379265.
25 Mile Borders Feast
We will meet you at The Stables at 7pm or shortly before. Please try not to be late! If you are unavoidably delayed, please call Lucy on 07973 379265.
If the weather allows it, we will enjoy a canapé and welcome drink outside either in the garden, fields or farmyard (it’s a surprise) so please choose some appropriate footwear for this.
This is a fun, relaxed evening – The Stables has heating, but it is an old outbuilding with stone floors, so we would recommend that you dress reasonably warmly so you can enjoy yourself.
